Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology Cluster (AMANAC) - meeting #1

8 April 2014
Athens, Greece

AMANAC currently represents 26 European projects and about 255 projects partners of which 63% are enterprises. The 1st cluster meeting took place in Athens on 8 April 2014 with the main aim to map the needs to increase project impact via clustering. The meeting set the basis for more organised clustering activities and collaboration among the participating projects. The Athens meeting achieved the following:
• The 27 projects currently participating in the cluster have been grouped in six Thematic Areas: Nano-insulation, HVAC, Lightweight Construction, Embodied Energy, Smart Windows, Indoor Air.
• Each Thematic Area identified clustering needs and priorities and developed an Action
Plan that included proposed implementation actions, responsible partners for the follow up and coordination of the planned activities, time schedule
The main objective of the "Advanced Material & Nanotechnology Cluster" is to join efforts in order to promote synergies and fields of cooperation among Projects whose activities focus on energy efficiency in the building environment. AMANAC Cluster will allow the involved projects to be more productive, competitive, successful and support them to establish a broader social and industrial impact.
